The long-awaited sophomore project of Foreign Exchange, entitled 'Leave It All Behind', drops October 7 on Nicolay Music. Dutch producer Nicolay and Little Brother's Phonte hook up with Darien Brockington, Yahzarah, producer/keyboardist Zo! and vocalist Muhsinah and finds them 'much further from their hip-hop origins. The duo's second full-length is a dark, multilayered affair' according to the press release.

Chicago's own graffiti rapper Seel Fresh returns with his sophomore release 'Street Famous' October 14 on Rapstar Records, two years after his 'Trife Life' debut album. The People's Champ aka Josh Martinez will release his fifth solo release 'World Famous Sex Buffet' on his own Camobear Records, September 23. Blu is back with producer Mainframe to release the self-titled album 'Johnson & Jonson' (initially to be called 'Powder & Oils') dropping September 23 on Tres Records. The album features other Johnsons like Little Johnson aka Exile, Ben Johnson aka The Gaslamp Killer, Randy Johnson aka Gonja Sufi and Troy Johnson aka Co$$. Always down for politics and conceptual albums, Mr Lif has announced his new, sporadically release 'I Heard It Today' to be issued on Inauguration Day (January 20). From now untill Election Day, a track (produced by Edan and J-Zone, a.o.) will be released every three weeks. The actual album will also contain unreleased songs and will be available through most of the Internet's download services.

A new (more European) alter ego has sprouted from Kool Keith's brain under the name of Tashan Dorssett.
