For the third time, Slug and Murs have dedicated their 'Felt' album to a B-movie actress. This time the two have made a tribute to Rosie Perez, following earlier ‘tributees’ Christina Ricci and Lisa Bonet (so we guess it was Slug’s turn to choose again?). The album will be fully produced by Aesop Rock, who’s following in the footsteps of earlier Felt1 and 2-producers The Grouch and Ant. First leaked single is ‘Protagonists’. The album drops November 17 on Rhymesayers.

Finally Rita J’s debut album 'Artist Workshop' drops October 20 on All Natural Inc. Featuring on production is K-Kruz while Guilty Simpson, Cap D, Black Spade and Rashid Hadee join Rita Jackson on the mic tip. The album has 14 cuts which should propel Rita to the cream of the crop of female lyricists. First single and video are in the making.

After a few push-backs, Freestyle Professors’ new album 'Gryme Tyme' is finally to be released October 1st independently on double LP and CD. The record contains production contributions by Lord Finesse, Buckwild, Showbiz, Diamond D, J-Supiria, Minnesota and 12 Finger Dan. Guest rappers are Lord Finesse, Akbar, Stanley Grimes, Don Q, Lil Sha and G.W. Foxx. Seems like the South Bronx grimiest is back in full effect!

In the pipeline for a October 20 release is Apathy’s sophomore album entitled ‘Wanna Snuggle?’ to be issued on Demigodz Entertainment. Most production is handled by Apathy himself. Besides that the long list of guest stars consists of B-Real, J-Live, Phonte, Chip Fu, Emilio Lopez, Celph Titled, King Magnetic, Ryu (of Styles of Beyond), Motive, Veze Skante, Dose, Black Raspberry, Holly Brook, Fort Minor, Get Busy Committee, Army Of The Pharoahs and of course the Demigodz crew.

The Seventh Rap album by People Under The Stairs entitled ‘Carried Away’ will be released October 13th on OM Records. Thes One and Double K dedicate this album to their fans, while the first issue of the release will contain a ‘guide to party’-poster and a VIP (Very Important Partier)-lanyard allowing free access to fans at PUTS’ upcoming fall tour. Ill Mondo Records presents the self-titled album of Neal Rames & Ill Mondo, to be released November 17. Cali-bred MC Neal Rames hooked up with the producers’ team of Ill Mondo, JRK and Johnny Red, and gathered Sean Price, Prince Po and Percee P on a lively, funk-infested album. Bay Area collective Crown City Rockers release their upcoming album ‘The Day After Forever’ on Gold Dust Media, September 29. After each member concentrated on their solo releases, Raashan Ahmad, producer Woodstock, keyboardist Kat O1O, bassist/producer Headnodic, and drummer Max MacVeety find each other again after 2004’s ‘Earth Tones’. The first single ‘Soul’ and a preview of the album can be found on the website of the group.

To be released October 20 on Legal Hustle, Cormega’s next solo opus ‘Born & Raised’, will be Mega Montana’s first solo album in seven years. Slated for a release on Gold Dust Media the collaboration between Del the Funky Homosapien and Tame One will drop October 13. Entitled 'Parallel Uni-verses', the record will be fully produced by Parallel Thought. The first leak is a track called 'Special'. An adjective that will perfectly fit the album.

This just came in from Rhymesayers: Minneapolis rapper Brother Ali is dropping his new album Us on September 22. Politically and socially aware, Ali paints the human condition over Ant beats, with help from guest rappers Chuck D, Freeway, Joell Ortiz, and Stokley Williams of Mint Condition. In order to support the record, Ali embarks on a North American tour with his currently new label mate Evidence.
