What was the biggest moment of the year for you personally and in general?
Definitely putting out our debut record as Ill Mondo. We had been working on the album and building up to the release for over a year, so to see it come out and do well in press and on the radio was really great. We really appreciate the support from publications like yours, and the DJ's and listeners out there that helped us out along the way. Thanks!

Best album(s) of the year?
For hip-hop, it would be: Raekwon - 'Cuban Linx 2', Skyzoo - 'Salvation', In rock and metal: Baroness - 'Blue Album', Flaming Lips - 'Embryonic'.
Best movie(s), TV or book(s) of the year?
Moon was probably the best movie of the year. It was like an updated, low-budget 2001 with a really great story. I don't watch TV, and I didn't read any books that came out this year, but I would say Wind Up Bird Chronicles was the best book I read all year.
What do you wish for hip-hop in 2010?
I wish that there was a little more thought put into some of the new stuff coming out. As much as we can get into new hip-hop, there's not a lot of effort going into making a record timeless and classic. A lot of new records are great, but will sound very dated in 10 or 20 years. I hope that more producers focus on getting a timeless sound out of their albums, instead of hopping on trends.
What do you wish for the world in 2010?
I wish that we can finally invent some flying cars.
What releases/projects can we expect from you (and yours) in the 2010?
Ill Mondo is working on a couple projects. We're wrapping up a couple mega-mixes, that we'll release for free online, along with a video, so look for that in the next couple months. We're also working on a mixtape of blends and remixes, and then a follow-up full-length album for later in the year. We should have a constant stream of material coming out next year, so keep your eye on the website!
