What was the biggest moment of the
year for you personally and in general?
Shoot...not even on some music ishhh, I went to Costa Rica. Saw an active volcano (Arenal). Lava, real lava, flowing!! It was pretty much the coolest thing ever. |
 |
Best album(s) of the year?
Possibly that new Little Dragon record. Mos Def's project was real nice too. The year was a bit of a daze, musically. Can't even remember a lot of what dropped, but the last quarter was real interesting, with all the random collabo albums that dropped. |
 |
Best movie(s), TV or book(s) of the year?
Movie? Hmmm...so many good things happened. From '9' to 'The Invention of Lying'. I'm not so up on current literature (hate to admit it), and TV's a big life-drain, so I stay away. |

What do you wish for hip-hop in 2010?
For all the successful major label artists to go independent, and put on all the artists they truly like (guess that's my wish every year, but still). They could force the majors into competing for quality instead of the garbage they slobber over now. |
 |
What do you wish for the world in 2010?
I wish we'd collectively get our act together and start acting sustainably and responsibly. There's no excuse for how we're trashing the earth right now. I want my grandkids to learn about polar bears from more than just books. Also, we should fill up all the empty oil pockets in the earth's mantle with all our unrecyclable trash. That's my homie J's idea (WOTI!). It'll break down faster, and become fuel for the earth to run on again. |

What releases/projects can we expect from
you (and yours) in the 2010?
'Psy'd Project' is in the works. It's my solo anthology made up of tracks I've done with various producers, and of course featuring my crew, The Oddities (Toronto, www.oddlyenough.com). I'm about 4 cuts short of having that done, so boom! Also, maybe another Nope project? Eh? Ehhhh? Plus, don't forget my work with Freeze & Doxx (www.listenclosemg.com). Plenty of music comin' out of our circle. Finally, look out for my potnas 'Beatface' (www.beatfacemusic.com). They're about to flip the world on it's proverbial ass...and slap it a couple times. |
